Andrea Henderson

Journalist, Muckraker, Truth Seeker

Andrea Henderson is an award-winning journalist covering race, identity, and culture at St. Louis Public Radio. Her work includes news stories, in-depth features, and investigative pieces on topics of discrimination and economic disparities, including inequalities prevalent in housing, incarceration, reparations, and education. She has investigated, written and produced stories for NPR's Code Switch, All Things Considered and other shows, Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting, The Aspen Institute, ESPN’s Andscape, and PRX and The World. She has contributed to podcast episodes on felony disenfranchisement, Black maternal health, immigrant education, and bail reform. Through her work, she aims to raise awareness with tough conversations around race, all while provoking meaningful discussions that creates change within the system.
